British Alpine’s super coach Dave Hudson has taken on a jaw dropping challenge to raise money for Overgate Hospice.

Swim - Cycle - Run

BASS Instructor and Director Dave Hudson is undertaking a monumental challenge in an effort to raise money for an important cause. Dave will be taking on a full Ironman triathlon, which is generally considered to be the toughest 1 day sporting event in the world. The triathlon consists of a 4 kilometre swim followed by a 180 kilometre cycle and then to finish a full marathon (42 kilometres). The event will be in Cascais, Portugal about 1 hour away from Lisbon.

"Close to my heart"

This is a project close to Dave’s heart and in his thoughts after he lost his father last year to cancer. He is raising money for an important cause. Trying to help Overgate Hospice raise funds for their Big Build campaign. Overgate is a Hospice that aims to provide the very best end of life care for patients and Dave has seen first-hand what an incredible job they do and how they go above and beyond to ensure that the patients are spending their last moments as comfortably as possible. The Big Build campaign is a project to further their ability to do that by building a new facility in which all patients would have their own room to ensure their last days are spent in as much peace, comfort and privacy as possible with their loved ones.

Dave Hudson - ISTD - Ski Instructor - Val d’Isere

Dave has been with British Alpine since 2015, first as a trainee and then as an instructor once he became qualified at the highest level in 2018. As well as working in Val D'isere, Tignes and the 3 Valleys, he has also instructed in Switzerland, Italy and Australia. Dave is a prized member of the BASS team having been with us from the start of his career. He is a strong favourite with many of British Alpine’s faithful clients. During the summer I have been working as a Personal Trainer and Deckhand on super yachts. I love the travelling and seeing new parts of the world, helping guests make the most of their experience on board and working as part of a team. More recently, I have been transitioning into Yacht management and working with a Yacht charter agency to help plan guests dream holiday.
